"The Color of Memory and Dreams"
A Chelsea community mural series created at the Chelsea Senior Center, these
colorful panels depict rural life and pre-technological scenes drawn from the memories
and dreams of seniors. Scenes depicted include Costa Rica, Venezuela, Honduras,
Nicaragua, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, El Salvador,
Puerto Rico and the United States.

Bellingham - Cary House
The Bellingham - Cary House is a rare old landmark, rich in traditions and of great
historic value. It dates from 1659 when Governor Bellingham, one of the founders
of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, built it as a hunting lodge. The house was occupied
by the British during the American Revolution. It was in the Cary family for over
150 years and in 1791 major renovations and additions were performed, turning
it into a fine mansion. It will be open for tours during the Chelsea Art Walk.
Featured will be an exhibit of the famous Low's tiles, art tiles that were
made in Chelsea by J.C and J.F. Low, 1880-1906. Richard Pennington,
an expert on Low Tiles, will be presenting his collection and giving a presentation
on the history of the tiles. Michael Limberakis, contemporary stained glass
artisan, will be exhibiting his work.

"Urban Disruptions" which will be an attempt to
analyze the problems of gang activity in our community
and solutions we may provide in order to solve such problem.
Mediums include spray paint, screen print and mixed media.
In addition to the gallery exhibit, there will be a movie screening
"Crips and Blood: Made in America", a $5 cover charge will apply,
The Gallery is handicapped accessible.
